Here are 7 ways that, if followed by your entire organization, will change your embroidery business and give it a whole new life!
1. Start Out Each Day With A Positive Attitude! - While this can be difficult at times, it is a decision that you make each day that affects your entire organization. Create an atmosphere of Exceptional Customer Service by being upbeat and positive.
2. Always Wear A Smile! - Whether your interactions are face to face or over the phone, your smile can be felt. Treat your customers with dignity and respect, and show it by always smiling and helping them to feel that they have a true partner in business with you.
3. Have A Clean And Well Organized Environment! - Clients or customers should be shown into a clean, well-organized environment as this will help them to place their faith and trust in you. Be sure that you are always ready with embroidery samples that are in top quality condition and available for quick viewing. Everyone wants to deal with a true professional.
4. You Must Be Willing To Work With Your Customer-Give Them A Reason Why They Need To Come Back! - Have an open mind and be flexible when it comes to customer requests. Customers in today's marketplace can be very demanding, but if you don't serve them, someone else will. Keep your promises realistic and always be up front if you cannot meet their needs or expectations, but go above and beyond whenever possible.
5. Always Return Phone Calls And Always Respond To Emails! - Your communications with customers or potential customer begins here. Always respond in a timely manner to phone messages and emails. Let your customer know that they are important to you by showing you care enough to answer any questions they have about your embroidery products or services as soon as possible.
6. Take Accurate Notes! - In person, over the phone or in email, you need to be sure that you have a system in place for taking notes quickly and easily. These notes are often for changes on a customer's order, so you need to have a way of attaching the notes to the embroidery order so that mistakes are not made. Always double-check with the customer to be sure you have their request right!
7. Never Show Anger With A Customer! - A customer can become upset over any number of things, but always remember that you are a professional. It does not matter if a mistake was caused by you or the customer; you need to do what you can to salvage the relationship.
Creating exceptional customer service is not hard! If you give all of your embroidery business customers more than they expect, you will be greatly rewarded.
